So I was reading this post by the guys at Very Smart Brothas, and it really struck me as downright oblivious on the part of the authors and many of the commenters, and I got the urge to get this off my chest. Diversity in Games: The ‘Black People’ Edition
by ActuallyBrown on March 5, 2013 at 1:02 amSaw thisĀ great article by Evan Narcisse from Kotaku today. To be honest, I didn’t read it all, because it started to get super heavy with historical references that I found myself drowning in about halfway through reading. Action Movie Trailers & Their Use of Hip-Hop
by ActuallyBrown on February 10, 2013 at 11:21 pmIt’s so funny that trailer after trailer uses some ‘relatively’ popular rap tracks (and by ‘relatively’ I mean they maybe weren’t the leading single or the longest #1-holding billboard track from their respective albums, etc., but they’re still pretty recognizable if you know who a Kanye West or a Just Blaze or a Jay-Z is).

Recently I got into watching this video series on YouTube called “Tales of Mere Existence”. It’s a chuckle-worthy look at some of the idiosyncrasies of first-world society. It’s cool because the guy that does it goes over his gripes with people’s weirdness while sketching the scenes with a simple sharpie on some tracing paper. It’s [...]
The big picture is that, once I’m done with this next strip, I’ll be ready to churn things out at a much quicker clip than before, I just hadn’t realized how much work I had put in over the years to get to this point.
Shout out to Comicbooked.com’s Webcomics Wednesday feature for highlighting Earth Tones within a ‘themed comics’ motif. And a special shout to Amanda Sautbine for even finding me! Thanks!
Kanye West – Chain Heavy feat. Talib Kweli & Consequence *Video unrelated* I’m getting back into Earth Tones. At this point, you might think I’m schizophrenic or something with all of my flip-flopping. Since we last spoke, I went and cheated on WordPress with Tumblr. And Facebook. But no, I’m not crazy or schizo (not [...]
